WWE SUPERSHOW RESULTS: MAJOR SUPERSTAR CONFIRMS INJURY, LIV MORGAN HAS A NEW CHALLENGER, JEY USO LOSES AGAIN (BLOOMINGTON, IN, 06/22)
WWE returned to the live circuit with a house show in Bloomington, Indiana, on Saturday, June 22. The event featured multiple title matches, with top names from RAW and SmackDown in action.
The show kicked off with Sami Zayn defending his Intercontinental Title against Ludwig Kaiser and Bronson Reed in a Triple Threat Match. Zayn pinned Kaiser to retain the gold. While the Imperium member may have lost the match, he seems to be gaining momentum as a singles star.
Kaiser has been embroiled in a feud with Sheamus over the last few weeks. He also faced Bron Breakker's wrath on RAW this past Monday.
Elsewhere on the card, The Awesome Truth put their World Tag Team Championship on the line against JD McDonagh and Finn Balor of The Judgment Day. R-Truth and The Miz managed to walk out as champions after delivering a double Attitude Adjustment to the heels. This was followed by a WWE Women's Championship match, where Bayley defeated Tiffany Stratton.
Damian Priest was in action as he defended his World Heavyweight Championship against Jey Uso. The match was filled with fun moments as Jey continued to be unserious throughout the bout. The former Bloodline member, however, failed to get a win as Priest retained his title.
Jey has faced Damian Priest for the World Heavyweight Championship at numerous house shows. However, he has yet to dethrone The Punisher.
The only non-title match of the night saw Gunther defeat Kofi Kingston in a singles bout. Next in action was Liv Morgan, who successfully defended her Women's World Championship against Zoey Stark.
The main event of the night was Cody Rhodes vs. Shinsuke Nakamura for the Undisputed WWE Championship. The American retained the title and later revealed that he suffered broken ribs following an attack from Jacob Fatu on SmackDown.
