WARRIORS FREE AGENCY REBOUND: SIXER SIGNED

JULY 1 WARRIORS REBOUND FROM KLAY THOMPSON

After the bitter breakup between the Golden State Warriors and Klay Thompson, the Stephen Curry-led franchise looks to soften the blow with a fresh free agent signing. According to The Athletic's Shams Charania, the Warriors signed former Philadelphia 76ers guard De'Anthony Melton to a one-year, $12.8 million deal.

Melton played 38 games for the 76ers last season, averaging a career-high 11.1 points.

JULY 1 RESPECT The Knicks deal for Mikal Bridges gives a certain podcast host - and Warriors standout - a chance to grade the trade.

And shockingly, on a recent episode of "The Draymond Green Show", the host - a devout Knicks hater - did just that.

"The Knicks are in a space where they're going for it, and I respect it, I think you got to go for it at some point,” Green said.

Respect? Cool! But ...

"But,'' he added, "what just happened with the trade was that you know if this doesn't work in 2 to 3 years, the Knicks will be rebuilding again because they traded all their picks away, and then they'll be trying to trade those guys, get picks back and that's kind of how it all plays out."
