NEW OHIO STATE QUARTERBACK SPEAKS OUT ABOUT DECISION

The Ohio State Buckeyes were in need of a new quarterback this offseason and they found it with Kansas State Wildcats transfer Will Howard. And as he competes to try to earn the team’s starting quarterback role, he opened up a little bit about why he left Kansas State in the first place.

During a recent appearance at the Manning Passing Academy, Will Howard opened up a little bit about his decision to leave Kansas State and sign with Ohio State.

“It’s tough, yeah. And you know, it’s so normalized nowadays that people don’t really think about it,” Howard said about his decision to enter the transfer portal according to On3.

“It’s a tough process, the transition, especially for a guy like me who was at K-State for four years, really cemented, was comfortable, knew all the guys. You know, going to a new place is kind of what I needed, a step out of my comfort zone. I was ready for that. It’s not easy, by any stretch.”

But it didn’t take long for Howard to feel like a part of the team.

“By the time spring ball came around, I was pretty well engrossed in it, and I mean, they embraced me really well. We have a really tight team this year, so it’s cool,” Howard said.

Howard now has a chance to earn Ohio State’s starting quarterback role as he competes with Devin Brown this offseason.
