CAITLIN CLARK'S COLLEGE GPA MADE NATIONAL HEADLINES

Before Caitlin Clark entered the WNBA ranks as the Indiana Fever's No. 1 overall pick, the basketball superstar was a record-breaking athlete for the University of Iowa.

Clark's talent on the basketball court shined bright as she went on to set the all-time NCAA scoring record — but her talents in the classroom also earned national recognition.

Earlier this year, Clark was named the 2023-24 Academic All-America Team Member of the Year — marking the second year in a row she received the honor.

Clark, a marketing major, boasted an impressive 3.64 GPA.

Clark was unable to attend her graduation ceremony as she began her WNBA career. But, her new Fever teammates surprised her with an unofficial diploma during training camp in May.

“Eh, honestly, I was kinda glad to not have to go—Carver-Hawkeye Arena doesn’t have any air conditioning, so it gets like really hot with all those people in there in the spring and summer," Clark joked about missing her graduation ceremony.

Clark and the Fever will face off against Angel Reese and the rival Chicago Sky on Sunday afternoon.
