ANGEL REESE, A'JA WILSON POSTGAME INTERACTION TURNING HEADS

Angel Reese and the Chicago Sky welcomed the two-time defending champion Las Vegas Aces to the Windy City for a Thursday night matchup. Reese was seen after the 95-83 loss embracing WNBA MVP frontrunner A'ja Wilson.

The two exchanged greetings and seemed to be smiling, per CHGO Sky on X. They've both shown high praise for each other, given their roles in changing the game of women's basketball.

Reese finished the night with her ninth consecutive double-double, marking a WNBA record for the youngest player ever to achieve that feat. She posted 18 points and 11 rebounds in the matchup, while Wilson notched 31 points and 6 boards.

Both women could be hoisting up some very honorable trophies at the end of the season. Wilson leads the league with an average of 27.8 points and 11.6 rebounds. She's seen as the leader in the MVP race.

Reese is competing against Caitlin Clark of the Indiana Fever for the Rookie of the Year award, but the Sky forward seems to have the edge, averaging 13.2 points and 11.1 rebounds.

Chicago may have come away with the loss, snapping their two-game win streak, but the conversation Reese had with Wilson could have been even more valuable than adding to the win column.
