LIV GOLF STAR AT RISK OF RELEGATION TAKES MATTERS INTO OWN HANDS WITH BOLD MOVE

Caleb Surratt, the youngest player in the LIV Golf league, is preparing to debut at the International Series Morocco this week.

The 20-year-old golf prodigy, who has already secured three team titles with Jon Rahm's Legion XIII, is currently ranked 37th in the player standings and is fighting to maintain his position in the league.

According to the rules of the LIV Golf League, players who finish below 45th place and are not team captains face relegation. They cannot be signed by another team unless they earn their way back through competing in the LIV Golf Promotions event.

Despite being above the drop zone at present, Surratt is leaving no stone unturned to secure his future in the league. Surratt will be participating in the International Series at Royal Golf Dar Es Salaam's Red Course in Rabat from July 4-7. This event is the third of 10 on the Asian Tour that provides a direct pathway to the LIV Golf League.

It offers golfers already on the roster an opportunity to hone their skills while competing for the substantial prize money on offer with this weekend's prize fund standing at $2 million.

Caleb Surratt, the young golf sensation, is gearing up for an exciting stint at the LIV Golf Andalucia in Spain, but first, he's heading to Rabat to get some practice in. "I am excited," Surratt expressed his enthusiasm.

"It is a privilege because I have never been to Morocco before. To be honest, I have not really been abroad too much at all, so I am really excited for it and will prepare my best for it. I have heard nothing but awesome things about the International Series and the golf course in Morocco. I am excited to be making my debut there."

Surratt also took a moment to praise the Asian Tour for its ability to churn out top-notch golf talent. "Obviously the cream is going to rise to the top and that is a great thing for a tour to produce," he observed. "You cannot fake it. They [the Asian Tour] are clearly doing something right."

He's also looking forward to the unique challenges of international play, noting, "Part of the whole deal is even just learning how to travel, as it is harder to go from country to country and adapt rather than state to state, and that's part of the experience the International Series provides. The players know how to adapt, and I am excited for that."

At just 20 years old, Surratt finds himself under the wing of golf heavyweight Jon Rahm, a relationship he doesn't take lightly. "To be able to come straight from college and be one of Jon Rahm's right-hand men, on a daily basis, is vital for my learning," Surratt acknowledged.

"It is cool to be able to get comfortable around him because if you can get comfortable and compete with him you can do it with anybody."
