FANS ARE FURIOUS WITH FOX'S CAMERA ANGLE FOR USA-URUGUAY

Fans tuning in to FS1 to watch tonight's match between the United States and Uruguay were greeted with quite a surprise.

The broadcast from Arrowhead Stadium in Kansas City is being shot with a wide-angled, overhead camera, not dissimilar to the All-22 angle NFL teams use for in-stadium filming.

Early on, the reviews from viewers are not great.

"Sorry, soccer fans. This camera angle is meant for touchdown passes from Patrick Mahomes to Travis Kelce, not #USMNT and Uruguay," said USA TODAY NFL writer Safid Deen.

"Biggest U.S. match in years so why Kanas City, why this stadium and why this crap camera angle?" asked ESPN's Frank Isola.

"This camera angle for USMNT-Uruguay is making my head hurt," said a USMNT fan account on X/Twitter.

"Holy f--k this better not be the camera angle the whole time," another USMNT fan account added.

"I can’t believe how bad this camera angle is. Borderline unwatchable. Ants running around!" chimed in Barstool Sports' Francesca Mariano.

"Yo @FOXSports, you cannot be serious with this camera angle for the @USMNT match. This being shot from the roof?" said the St. Louis City SC podcast account.

If we're being honest, this is a pretty wild way to watch a live soccer broadcast, or any sport for that matter.

Of course, USMNT fans ultimately are more concerned with the result of tonight's match than how it looks on TV.

After being knocked off by Panama in the second game of group play, the Americans likely need to upset Uruguay tonight in order to advance to the knockout round.

You can watch the game--from his unique angle--on FS1.
