WNBA ALL-STAR VOTING RESULTS 2024: FULL LIST OF STARTERS, RESERVES FOR TEAM WNBA ROSTER
As far as popularity contests go, All-Star voting — be that in the NHL, MLB or, in this case, the WNBA — is as cutthroat as it gets.
Productivity matters, particularly when you're dueling with the best and brightest basketball has to offer. A strong showing against top-tier competition can go a long way to helping nab the golden ticket that is All-Star recognition. Conversely, an underwhelming display can prove disastrous.
Fever star Caitlin Clark and Sky standout Angel Reese were among the marquee players to capture one of the WNBA's greatest prizes in 2024. An Olympic-centric All-Star Game format will add to the fireworks, with Team WNBA competing against Team USA in the annual showcase.
How did the WNBA All-Star roster shape out in 2024? The Sporting News details the players who will take center stage during basketball's midsummer classic and those who just missed out on the festivities.

WNBA All-Star voting results 2024
The 12-player WNBA All-Star roster was announced Tuesday night ESPN's "WNBA Countdown."
Starters for the 2024 All-Star Game will be determined by the head coaches of Team WNBA and Team USA, respectively. Minnesota Lynx head coach Cheryl Reeve is at the helm for the Olympic 5x5 team, while the head coach for the WNBA squad has not been announced.

The top five vote-getters among fans were: Clark (700,735), Boston (618,680), A'ja Wilson (607,300), Breanna Stewart (424,135) and Reese (381,518).
The top 10 vote-getters overall — including 50% fan voting, 25% WNBA player voting and 25% media voting — were, in alphabetical order: Boston, Clark, Napheesa Collier, Kahleah Copper, Dearica Hamby, Sabrina Ionescu, Arike Ogunbowale, Stewart, Wilson and Jackie Young.
Any player in the top 10 vote-getters who was not already on the Olympic roster automatically received an All-Star roster spot. As a result, Boston, Clark, Hamby and Ogunbowale were locked into Team WNBA.
The remaining six spots on the Team WNBA roster were filled out by the league's 12 head coaches from a pool of the next 36 highest vote-getters. Players from the pool who failed to make the cut included Ariel Atkins, Kamilla Cardoso, Skylar Diggins-Smith and Ezi Magbegor, among others.
If one of the players selected for Team WNBA is unable to play, WNBA commissioner Cathy Engelbert will name a replacement.

How does WNBA All-Star voting work?
Between June 13 and June 29, fans cast their ballot to help determine who would earn All-Star honors in 2024. WNBA players and media members also cast ballots.
Fan ballots made up 50% of the vote to determine Team WNBA's All-Star team. The other 50% of the vote was split between current WNBA players and media members.
It was an unusual process this time around, however, as the impending Olympics prompted the league to pit its top All-Star vote-getters against Team USA's 5-on-5 Olympic women's basketball roster before they head to Paris.
As a result, there was a lot of overlap between top vote-getters and those players already on Team USA's roster. If a top vote-getter was already named to Team USA, their name was removed from the pool for Team WNBA.
Any top 10 vote-getter who was not already named to Team USA's Olympic 5x5 squad was automatically assigned to Team WNBA. In the end, four such players received automatic roster spots: Boston, Clark, Hamby and Ogunbowale.
The next 36 highest vote-getters were put in a pool. From that pool, the league's head coaches filled out the remaining eight roster spots for Team WNBA.
