VIDEO: 16-YEAR-OLD BREAKS WORLD RECORD AT U.S. OLYMPIC TRIALS

It's been a weekend of impressive performances on the track for several United States sprinters and now 16-year-old Quincy Wilson has added his name to that list.

At this year's U.S. Olympic Track and Field Trials, the Bullis High School star clocked the fastest time ever for a U18 participant with a 44.66 400m dash.

Fans were floored by the video on social media.

"This is so crazy!" a user said. "Props to quality training and great support."

"Amazing 16 year old!" another exclaimed.

"Such a fabulous story," a fan replied. "During the decade or so I lived in Potomac, I could have walked to Bullis, Quincy's school. And now . . . . Who knew?"

"Making Maryland proud, young man! Congrats, Quincy!" tweeted Gov. Wes Moore.

"HE'S ONLY 16!?" another person asked. "44.66 for Quincy Wilson Doing this at such a young age shows he has a lot of TALENT and uses it rightfully."

It's remarkable to see Wilson accomplish such a feat before he's even in his junior year of high school, but he's got the skills and confidence to set more records in the future

Asked by The Washington Post to rank his nerves going into the race, the Potomac, Maryland native said: "Probably like a 2. I'm racing against bigger people that got brands and things like that. To me, everybody puts their spikes on the same way I do. I train just as hard as they do. It's just the best of the best going at each other."

Congrats, Quincy!
