USA BASKETBALL ANNOUNCES TRAINING CAMP DECISION ON CAITLIN CLARK

On Thursday, USA Basketball unveiled its roster for training camp in April. Many fans wondered if Caitlin Clark would make the list.

Luckily for basketball fans, Clark is currently on the 14-athlete roster for Team USA.

Clark isn't the only marquee name on the roster. Team USA will also feature Diana Taurasi, Brittany Griner, Breanna Stewart, A'ja Wilson and Sabrina Ionescu among others.

That being said, there's no guarantee Clark will make it to Cleveland for training camp from April 3-5. It all depends on how Iowa's season plays out.

From Team USA:

Caitlin Clark will attend training camp, contingent on University of Iowa’s progression through the NCAA Tournament. Clark has earned three gold medals with USA Basketball junior national teams including most recently as a member of the 2021 USA Women’s U19 National Team.

Iowa will face Colorado this Saturday in the Sweet 16. If the Hawkeyes win that game, they'll play in the Elite Eight on April 1.

Clark won't be able to compete with Team USA if Iowa makes the Final Four. While that would be unfortunate, there's no question her priority is to win a national championship.

We'll see if Clark can lead Iowa to the promised land.
