TENNESSEE LANDS COMMITMENT FROM NO. 1 IN-STATE DEFENSIVE LINEMAN

Four-star defensive lineman Ethan Utley announced his commitment to Tennessee. The 6-foot-4, 275-pounder committed to the Volunteers over Michigan, Texas, Oklahoma, and Syracuse.

Utley is the No. 182 overall prospect and No. 16 defensive lineman in the class of 2025. He is the No. 1 defensive lineman and No. 4 player in Tennessee, according to the On3 industry rankings.

He earned Division II-AAA West All-Region honors as an offensive and defensive lineman this season. Utely finished his sophomore season in 2022 with 25 total tackles, 10 tackles for loss, and 4.5 sacks in only nine games.

Following Utley's commitment, Tennessee's 2025 recruiting class ranks No. 10 nationally and No. 4 in the SEC. He is the third in-state prospect to commit to the Volunteers, joining quarterback George MacIntyre and wide receiver Joakim Dodson.
