SPECIAL COURTSIDE GUESTS DURING STORM-FEVER TRIGGERS ONLINE BUZZ

Caitlin Clark and the Indiana Fever suffered their second straight loss after the Seattle Storm defeated the Fever 89-77 on Thursday. While much of the spotlight was on Clark and the Storm's stars, there were also two major courtside guests in Sue Bird and Megan Rapinoe.

Bird is a former WNBA All-Star with the Storm, while Rapinoe is mostly known for her role on the Team USA women's soccer team. Both women were all smiles as they took in the Storm's victory courtside.

While they may have been rooting for Seattle, all eyes have been on Clark all season. The rookie out of Iowa finished the game with 15 points, 7 assists, and 6 rebounds. She's leading all rookies with an average of 16.2 points and 6.6 assists through the Fever's 7-12 season.

Bird and Rapinoe are both icons in the women's sports industry. Rapinoe has vocalized equal pay for women's sports for years, while she's picked up one gold and bronze medal with the United States national soccer team.

They were in attendance to watch another major influence in women's sports. Despite Clark being 22 years old, she's changed the landscape of women's basketball, bringing her immense stardom from the NCAA to the WNBA.

The Storm's post of the special appearance currently has over 400 likes and 7k views.
