SKIP BAYLESS CALLS OUT CAITLIN CLARK'S EFFORT AGAINST LAS VEGAS ACES

Caitlin Clark put up a double-double on Tuesday night in the Indiana Fever's loss to the Las Vegas Aces, but it wasn't enough for one prominent sports media voice.

Skip Bayless took to social media after the game, and he criticized Clark for her performance against the Aces.

"I'm sorry, but Caitlin Clark sold out another road arena, in Vegas - and once again disappeared in another 4th quarter," Bayless said on Tuesday evening.

"No offensive urgency or energy. Won't shoot. So many careless turnovers. Something's not right here."

Bayless' criticism of Clark comes after a game in which she didn't shoot well from the field. Clark went 1-for-7 from three and 4-for-12 overall on Tuesday, far from her most efficient game this season.

On the other hand, Clark likely would have had more assists in Tuesday's game if her teammates were able to finish more consistently around the basket.

Kelsey Mitchell led the Fever in scoring with 23 points, and Aliyah Boston added an 18-point, 11-rebound double-double.

Unfortunately for the Fever, the combo of Olympians Kelsey Plum and A'ja Wilson was too much to overcome. As the Aces went on a 14-0 run to pull away in the fourth quarter, the two superstars came alive for the defending league champions.

Wilson continued her dominant season with 28 points, nine rebounds and five blocks, showing how effective she can be on both sides of the court.

Plum led all scorers with 34 points, hitting six threes in the game.

20,366 fans filed into Las Vegas' T-Mobile Arena for Tuesday's matchup, forming the fifth-largest crowd in WNBA history.
