SEC POWERHOUSE TRENDING FOR NATION'S NO. 4 OVERALL 2025 PROSPECT

Georgia is the projected favorite for one of the nation's best recruits in the 2025 recruiting class.

The On3 Recruiting Prediction Machine (RPM) has Georgia trending for defensive lineman Elijah Griffin. USC and South Carolina are two other contenders for the elite prospect.

The 6-foot-4, 290-pounder from Savannah (Ga.) Christian Prep would be a massive in-state recruiting win for the Bulldogs.

Griffin is a consensus five-star defensive lineman and currently ranks as the No. 4 overall prospect in the 2025 class. He is the No. 1 defensive lineman and No. 1 player in Georgia, according to the On3 industry rankings.

Kirby Smart and the Bulldogs already hold a commitment from five-star tight end Elyiss Williams. Georgia's 2025 recruiting class currently ranks No. 7 nationally and No. 3 in the SEC.

Griffin is visiting Colorado over the weekend and has already visited USC, Miami, LSU, and Florida earlier this year. He took a visit to Athens in January.

In recent years, the Bulldogs have produced several NFL draft picks across the defensive line. Jordan Davis, Travon Walker, Nakobe Dean, Azeez Ojulari, Jalen Carter, and Nolan Smith are some recent picks.

Griffin has all the potential to make the same impact at the college level. He earned MaxPreps All-American honors last season after totaling 31 tackles for loss and 17.5 sacks.
