[PHOTO] KOFI KINGSTON AND XAVIER WOODS OF THE NEW DAY MAY HAVE FOUND UNLIKELY ALLY AFTER BRUTAL BEATDOWN ON WWE RAW

Kofi Kingston and Xavier Woods endured a beatdown on WWE RAW at the hands of Karrion Kross and The Final Testament again this week. The New Day duo might have found an unlikely ally after reuniting with a familiar face.

Woods took on Kross last Monday and got the upset win, avenging Kingston's loss a week before. However, The Authors of Pain took out the former King of the Ring, while The Herald of Doomsday almost ripped off the ex-WWE Champion's left arm.

In a post on his official Instagram Stories, Big E shared an image with Woods and Kingston. The trio have not been seen on television together for a long time due to Big E's neck injury.

Big E has not wrestled since breaking his neck in March 2022 and there's still no timetable for his return. He has teased about coming back, as well as retiring, but remarked that it was all about how his neck was feeling. However, he had said he was just happy to be back in the gym and working out.

The former WWE Champion is an unlikely ally since he's not been cleared to return and there are doubts about him ever coming back. Nevertheless, The New Day duo of Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston now need backup to take on The Final Testament, seeing how they're outnumbered by their opponents.

Wrestling veteran shares potential problem with Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston split

During The New Day's feud with The Final Testament, Karrion Kross has been trying to drive a wedge between Xavier Woods and Kofi Kingston. The split angle might be inevitable for the 11-time tag team champions although Dave Meltzer sees a problem with it.

"I mean, nothing lasts forever in WWE. Here's the problem, though, if you break them up, neither of them are gonna do much," Meltzer said on the Wrestling Observer Radio.

The New Day has been together for a couple of weeks shy of a decade now, winning multiple tag team championships along the way. Kingston and Big E even won the WWE Championship on separate occasions, while Woods won the 2021 King of the Ring Tournament.
