PAIGE BUECKERS GIVES HER HONEST OPINION OF WNBA STAR CAITLIN CLARK

UConn star Paige Bueckers was recently asked about the impact that Caitlin Clark is having on the WNBA. The former AP Player of the Year didn't hesitate when sharing her thoughts on the game's brightest star.

Bueckers made it clear that Clark deserves credit for elevating the WNBA's viewership this season. Additionally, she believes Clark's popularity has introduced fans to other star players in the league.

"I think a lot of new eyes are watching, and they’re impressed with the level of talent, and impressed with the level of physicality. That’s kind of what the league has been," Bueckers said. "I think Caitlin has brought so many new eyes to the game, and we appreciate that. When people tune in to watch her, they leave the game fans of so many more."

Bueckers added that she thinks the 2024 rookie class is "doing extremely well" this season. It's hard to argue against that comment.

Just three months ago, Bueckers and Clark squared off in the Final Four. Iowa defeated UConn after a controversial foul call on Aaliyah Edwards.

In that Final Four matchup between Bueckers and Clark, fans got a glimpse at the future of women's basketball. These playmaking guards will be dominating the sport for years to come as long as they're healthy.

As of right now, Bueckers is expected to be the top pick in next year's draft.
