O.J. Simpson is calling on Lincoln Riley and the USC Trojans to make a major coaching change.
The Trojans defense surrendered 41 points and 564 yards of offense to Shedeur Sanders and the Colorado Buffaloes on Saturday afternoon in Boulder. Fortunately, Caleb Williams saved the day with six passing touchdowns in USC's 48-41 victory.
It's worth pointing out Oregon, which hosts USC later this season, allowed just six points to Colorado, and those six points came in garbage time.
Every game is different, but Simpson is ready to see Riley make a major change. He wants the USC head coach to fire defensive coordinator Alex Grinch.
"I wish SC would find somebody, do a different philosophy on coaching the defense," he said. "Obviously, it will keep SC from winning the national championship."
For whatever reason, Lincoln Riley has stuck with Alex Grinch through some of the worst defensive performances by USC in recent memory. He's loyal to him.
It's highly unlikely Riley makes a change, at least during the season.
