CAITLIN CLARK PRAISED FOR CLASSY MESSAGE DIRECTED TOWARD WNBA VETERANS

Caitlin Clark is the newest superstar in a league that veteran players have called home for years.

There's no question that Clark has brought unprecedented attention to the league in the early days of her rookie season. And with that attention comes some meaningful change.

On Tuesday, WNBA commissioner Cathy Engelbert announced the decision to enact full-time charter service for all 12 teams.

Clark was asked to address this decision on Wednesday. In doing so, the No. 1 overall pick sent a classy message to the WNBA stars that came before her.

"I'm happy for the players that have been in this league a really long time and have really deserved this for years and years and years," Clark said.

Clark is getting some serious praise for this response.

"She is such a good human being!" one fan wrote.

"Seriously, now could you hate this woman? What an incredible young lady," another added.

"My favourite thing about this rookie class is the genuine understanding and want to always throw it back and highlight those who have fought advocated for these wins to even be possible," another said.

Clark and the Fever will face off against the Atlanta Dream in another preseason matchup on Thursday evening.
