WARRIORS NOT TENDERING QUALIFYING OFFER TO LESTER QUIñONES, MAKING HIM AN UNRESTRICTED FREE AGENT

Per Michael Scotto of HoopsHype, the Golden State Warriors are not planning to tender a qualifying offer to incoming third-year guard Lester Quiñones.

If the Warriors chose to tender a qualifying tender to Quiñones, he would’ve become a restricted free agent, with the Warriors having the right to match any offer sheet other teams would’ve offered Quiñones. Instead, he becomes an unrestricted free agent, with the complete freedom to choose between potential suitors.

In 37 games and 10.6 minutes per game last season, Quiñones averaged 4.4 points, 1.9 rebounds, and 1.0 assist, on a 45/36/69 shooting split.
