TELEVISION NETWORK MAKES HISTORIC DECISION REGARDING CAITLIN CLARK'S WNBA GAMES

WNBA rookie sensation Caitlin Clark is already changing the league, despite not playing in a regular season game. Clark has been with the Indiana Fever through training camp and a sample size of the preseason, but the No. 1 overall pick of the 2024 WNBA draft has yet to officially hit the court.

There have already been major changes in the viewership of the WNBA, with streaming services like ESPN+ and Disney+. Recent news reports that Tegna, a nationwide media company, will be streaming Clark's games this season with the Fever, due to a rise in popularity with the WNBA, Fever.

“This is a pivotal moment for our Fever team and women’s basketball, more broadly, and this groundbreaking partnership with Tegna will ensure more fans than ever will be able to watch this historic season,” said Rick Fuson at Pacers Sports and Entertainment, via Awful Announcing on X.

The incoming rookie class for the WNBA has changed the landscape of the league. They haven't just produced good basketball on the floor. These prospects will add revenue and viewership rises larger than the league has ever seen.
