HAILIE DEEGAN "IS ON HER LAST LEG" WITH AM RACING AS PER KENNY WALLACE

Kenny Wallace has opined that Hailie Deegan might be contesting her final Xfinity Series season under AM Racing's banner. This comes after the North Carolina-based outfit announced Joey Logano as the replacement for the female racer in the upcoming Chicago Street Race.

In October last year, Hailie Deegan and AM Racing inked a multi-year deal to field the #15 Ford. Before that, the Temecula native tasted NXS success in 2022 with SS Green Light Racing at the Las Vegas Motor Speedway. She finished 13th in her debut Xfinity run, the best for a female Xfinity Series debutant.

While Deegan struggles with her poor rookie season, Joey Logano recently snapped his 49-race winless streak at the Nashville Superspeedway. The Team Penske driver also runs a part-time Xfinity Series schedule for AM Racing, thus, the team announced Logano as the driver for the Chicago race. In a bid to "take advantage of the knowledge and feedback" of the two-time Cup Series champ, AM Racing made this move.

However, Kenny Wallace believes this might be Hailie Deegan's final season with the team.

"I've seen this movie before. Team is going to say they need @joeylogano to evaluate their equipment. My opinion is she is on her last leg with that team. I am a BIG @HailieDeegan fan. I wish the best for her," Wallace opined via X.

From 17 Xfinity races so far this season, Deegan hasn't been able to collect either a top-5 or a top-10 and netted her best finish at the Talladega Superspeedway, in 12th place.

Hailie Deegan puts a question mark on her future with AM Racing

Before entering the realm of Xfinity Series racing, Hailie Deegan ran in the Truck Series for four seasons. She collected five top-10s and marked her last race at the 2023 Craftsman 150 hosted by the Phoenix Raceway.

However, this season hasn't gone well for the 22-year-old and her latest stint at Nashville didn't end on a good note either. After kicking off her run from 31st place in the Music City, Hailie Deegan could only manage a 28th-place finish. With that, she is 27th in the driver's standings and trails 458 points behind the leader Cole Custer.

Shortly after the Nashville weekend, AM Racing decided to put Joey Logano behind the #15 Ford's wheel for the Chicago race instead of her. Following the switch-up, Deegan modified her bio on her X account. Per 2x NASCAR Craftsman Mechanic Of The Year Dave Green, she removed AM Racing from her Twitter bio indicating a possible fallout within the organization. However, nothing's confirmed as of now.

Hailie Deegan has been replaced for a single race so far and after her updated bio, things might function differently inside AM Racing's garage.
