CHAD GABLE CONFIRMS HE’S RE-SIGNED WITH WWE

Later today (June 15) at Clash at the Castle, Chad Gable gets another shot at Sami Zayn & the Intercontinental championship. Gable’s is one of several WWE Superstars whose current contract expires this summer, and that’s been part of the behind-the-scenes story of his title chase.

Over the past week, all reports about negotiations between the two sides have been positive. Now, in an appearance on Gorilla Position, Gable reveals it’s a done deal:

“Yes, I have [signed a new contract].”

Gable went on to talk about why he made the decision, which has a lot to do with the man currently running WWE creative:

“What I’ll say regarding Hunter [aka Triple H, aka Chief Content Officer Paul Levesque] is when he got started with us and took over, I think you saw my trajectory change almost immediately. Even when I was on a tag team with Otis, I started getting a lot of singles matches with some of our top guys. To me, a light bulb went off, and it’s like, ‘Things might be different now,’ and they have been ever since.

“He’s delivered on pretty much everything he’s ever told me. When I first came to him and me & Otis were kind of floundering, not doing much, and he said what he was doing was trying to find consistent places on TV for everybody every week. Whether it’s just a little chunk of TV or a big one — everyone should be involved at some point.

“And at the time, I’m like, ‘Ah man, I’ve heard all this before,’ and it gets to you. But then I saw that it was true, and it was delivering. Even if we only had a minute or two minutes on TV every week, we were getting it, and we were involved in something, and maximizing our minutes. And so the fact that he delivers on what he says, I think has gone a long way for someone like me. And now, I think that’s paying off tenfold cause and I’m having the run of my life right now and just having a blast.”
