THE GOOD TIMES KEEP ROLLING: ASTROS WIN 5-3

In April, it felt like the Astros could do no wrong. Since June, it feels like Houston can do no wrong.

The game started off well with the Astros scoring three runs in the first. Two runs were courtesy of a two run long drive single from Jon Singleton. He hasn’t been great, but compared to the previous first baseman, he may as well be Freddie Freeman.

Framber Valdez has a rather rough start to the game, giving up three in the bottom of the first. However, he settled down and pitched five shut out innings for the rest of the game.

The game was tied until the 5th when Dubon hit an rbi single to take a 4-3 lead.

Pena hit another home run, but it would turn out to be superfluous as the bullpen shut the game down.

Final Score: Astros 5, Blue Jays 3

Thoughts:

Everything is coming together nicely. For the past month the team has looked really solid in all parts of the game. The biggest weakness this team has is starting pitching, will the return of Garcia and LMJ be enough to fill that? If not, what are the best starters available?
