"CAN'T BELIEVE I WASTED MY 4TH OF JULY WATCHING THIS GARBAGE" - YANKEES FANS AGITATED AS TEAM GETS SWEPT BY REDS WITH THURSDAY'S LOSS

Down two games to none, the New York Yankees were looking to avoid getting swept by the Cincinnati Reds on Thursday. Marcus Stroman got the start for the Bronx Bombers, but could not quiet Cincinnati's bats.

The Yanks would lose the ballgame by a score of 8-4. The loss drops their record to 54-35 giving them their fourth loss over the course of their last five games.

Stroman lasted just five innings, giving up five runs on five hits, three of those being home runs. Offensively, Aaron Judge and three other starters failed to get a hit.

While starting the season off hot, the Yanks have cooled down. It has been a frustrating few weeks for this fanbase in the Bronx.

"Can't believe I wasted my 4th of July watching this garbage" - said a fan.
"What is going on with this team?" - said another.
"This team stinks" - said another.

The team's recent skid has dropped them down in the American League East. They now sit 2.5 games behind the Baltimore Orioles, who have been playing good baseball to start the new month.

"Start season well, go through a bad stretch then get swept by bad team. No changes. Wash rinse repeat. It's time for sweeping organizational changes" - said another.
"Rock bottom on the 4th of July isn't ideal" - said another.
"I'd like to believe things will get better but everything that was working stopped" - said another.

The fanbase is starting to lose hope after dominating the league for much of the season. If things do not change soon, fans are going to start calling for serious changes to be made.

Could the Yankees turn to the trade market for a boost?

With the team struggling a bit, many have called for the Yankees to be aggressive with the trade deadline approaching. There are plenty of exciting players that could hit the market.

One player that could instantly boost the lineup is Cody Bellinger. He has been a bright spot for the Chicago Cubs this season, however, the Cubbies have struggled lately.

Chicago could be a seller at the deadline as they sit with the third-worst record in the National League (40-48). They are already 12.5 games out of first place in the NL Central and have a tough schedule this month.
